Remembered Today:

Cabaret Rouge today

On our way from Arras to the channel tunnel, we figured we’d have time to drop into Cabaret Rouge before getting on the motorway. Unbeknown to us, there were two rededication services to Australian officers taking place. We stayed for the service for Captain Appleby, but weren’t able to attend the service for Lt Kennedy.  A very impressive and moving service, which I have to say, put the service we attended for Captain Clay last month rather in the shade.
The Australian army representative very kindly unveiled the headstone for Lt Kennedy so that I could pay respects.

Excellent Michelle; thank you for posting this. Hopefully you had a safe and swift trip back and the jams were all on the other side of the road.

Pete.
