delta Posted 9 July , 2022 Share Posted 9 July , 2022 I am trying to locate Bois Faviere, which is mentioned by Trevor Pidgeon in the Tanks at Flers. It is apparently south of Guillemont, possibly near Maltz Horn Farm, but (unusually) Trevor does not give a grid reference and it does not appear on his maps. Grateful for assistance in locating it. Many are from September 1916, Several are French and 1 is German, Coincidentally, this is where the GPS location facility was kindly tested for us by a forum member. delta Posted 10 July , 2022 Author Share Posted 10 July , 2022 Most kind @WhiteStarLine The northern edge of the wood is approximately 500 yards SE of the C Company HQ at the Briquetterie and 250 yards south of Chimpanzee trench where the tanks supporting 6th Division were based on 14 Sep.
