Ivor Anderson Posted 2 July , 2022 Share Posted 2 July , 2022 (edited) Great work Chris! This gave me the idea of looking for DCM citations, as 19 MMs must have had DCMs awarded with them! Found these in 21 June 1916 ( general back-dated awards): https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/29631/supplement/6136 Neither in WD accounts? Ivor Anderson Posted 2 July , 2022 Share Posted 2 July , 2022 (edited) That is brilliant - thanks Chris! That makes it more likely that the 19 MMs were retrospective awards - perhaps even for major actions like May 1915? They may not have appeared in the WD as they were retrospective (although the May WD is missing!). Some of the MMs could have been downgraded DCMs?
