stuart rowles Posted 29 June , 2022 Share Posted 29 June , 2022 James Rowles is listed in the Absent Voters list for Cleobury Mortimer as follows: Address, Clee Hills, Gunner, No. 135518, 147 Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. 1918 He does not have a Medal Index Card and no service papers exist, so can I assume he did not serve overseas. Does anyone know where this battery was stationed and what they did. He was born 1898 at Coreley, Cleobury Mortimer. Thank you for looking. stuart rowles Posted 30 June , 2022 Author Share Posted 30 June , 2022 Thanks Guys. I am still a bit miffed as to why there is no Medal Index Card. Could it be that he only joined towards the end of the war and was not serving for very long?
