Hello!
A Simple question, were there AIF Infantry/Dismounted troops in the Charge of Beersheba?

Mate,

Short answer,  "No"

All two LH Regts (4 & 12 ALHR) were mounted when they charged

Thats not to say there were not dismounted men at the Battle, as the Battle of 3rd Gaza, and the Battle of Beersheba, of which the charge was a small part?

The 1st LHR Bde fought dismounted in fighting at Tell el Saba and with British Infantry, who fought on foot, and took the Ottoman defences, which allowed the charge

Thanks for this! Well I expected no [AIF] Infantry/Dismounted were at Beersheba anyways, but I had to check!
Cheers!

Mate,

It come down to the main reason and that was how the Cavalry/Light Horse fought

Unlike British Horse, we were not taught to charge as part of the role of Cavalry

After the Boer War we still trained and acted as Mounted Infantry.

That is not to say the odd officer still liked to charge when he could
