Maybe anybody can help. These patches came up here in Germany. But there is no background information available. I presume they are from ww1... But I only presume..

Many thanks for the help 👍🏻

The combination of horizontal bars along with a principal symbol, in this case a Maltese cross, is certainly a common arrangement for formation arm patches from WW1. The colour purple is particularly associated with the Essex Regiment, but its usage here might just be a coincidence.  The best person to comment is @poona guardwho has studied such badges at great length.  I’m sure he’ll pop along in due course.

Three of the badges are upside down, the bars are underneath. I have no record of them and think they are WW2. The cross is possibly the Wiltshire Regiment. I would like further information about them if that is possible.

Yes I too initially considered a Wiltshire connection as possible, the Maltese cross was a popular identifier for them I recall, but the purplish shade (I suppose it may have faded) doesn’t match the maroon colour in their regimental ribbon so on balance it seemed less likely.

It certainly brings the Wiltshire Regiment firmly into the equation.  For a period they wore a similar Maltese Cross on the side of their solar helmets of various types.  See: https://www.greatwarforum.org/topic/114702-pith-helmet-wolseley/

stitching looks professional so I still feel it is WW2 stuff

Yes I think it does have more of a WW2 overall ‘look’ to it.
