Hello. By chance does anyone know the maximum clasps, bars, that could be awarded to one person who was awarded the USA Victory medal.

Five service clasps denoting countries, 13 army campaign clasps plus one for defensive sectors, 19 navy clasps denoting various types of service. Guess it depends on the individual.

Post at https://www.collectorsweekly.com sorry tablet won't let me post exact link...

Edit most I can see on a search appears to be 5

Six battle clasps is the maximum number earned any one division (the 3rd). Aisne, Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, St Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne and Defensive Sector (Laslo p98)

The highest number to an individual is thought to be 9 (Hugo Fales) (Laslo p98)

Billy Mitchell (Brigadier-General William Mitchell) wore 8 (the medal is in the USAF Museum in Dayton Ohio.

Laslo, Alexander J.  1992 (2nd Ed), The Inter-Allied Victory Medal of World War 1  Dorado Publishing (N. Mexico)
