Hello,

I'm not sure about the AFI at the end (might be Auxiliary Forces, India), but the rest will be:

L/Sgt = Lance Sergeant

2 BN = 2nd Battalion

M & SO. MAH. RY. RIF = Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway Rifles

There is some information about the regiment here:

https://wiki.fibis.org/w/Madras_and_Southern_Mahratta_Railway_Rifles

Best wishes

Brian

I think the A.F.I. is Auxiliary Forces India.
