RSPCA fund for sick and wounded horses

Evening all,

I was hoping someone may be able to help me with regard to the lapel badge.  I have found an advert relating to it but would like further information.  Was this a separate charity from the RSPCA?  When was it set up?  Were the charity volunteers members of the Army Veterinary Corps?  What period does it cover - I am assuming WW1.  All and any information gratefully received

Thanks

"The Army Veterinary Corps (AVC) was established in 1903 as a result of the experience of the Boer War. The RSPCA worked closely with the AVC at their request, assisting in establishing hospital stables close the frontline in France, and supplying medical and vetenary care. More than 30,000 sick and wounded horses were saved by the organisation during the war."
