Is anyone aware of any maps that are available that show the regimental areas?

I'm trying to check some pension details that seem to be based on regimental areas, but without an overall map it's providing difficult.

Any help appreciated.

Typical - I've just found this.

Does it hold true for WW1 ? (I suspect it probably does).tbnmhb0pnit01.png

It's for something to do with pensions - I think I've been putting the cart before the horse, and now want to test a hypothesis I have.

Not sure of the date but looks a bit more WW1ish

Yes, this is the one that I immediately thought of too.  Interestingly it’s available on eBay as a poster of various sizes, framed or unframed, and it struck me what an excellent gift it would be for any forum member.

That  is a really useful map. I suppose I wondered about exact areas, and with the Irish Regiments sort of knew "instinctively"  which the local regiment was, but that map lays it our clearly and a lot more accurately than instinct

There is a separate map for Ireland too (just realised it’s simply Ireland from the main map blown up).

The recruiting council map looks to be full of interesting annotations but I can’t find a really good rendering of it online.

It’s frustrating not knowing where the recruiting council map comes from, but I imagine that the national military history hub in Dublin probably has a good copy.
