WW1 1903 Pattern Brit Water Bottle?

Hi,

 

Am i correct in thinking this relic bottle is 1903 Pattern British Water Bottle?

 

Found somewhere on the Somme, it looks to have been shot, that said i'm not 100% on that at all as it's very rusted up after 80 years in the ground

I don’t think there was a specific water bottle and carrier for the 1903 pattern equipment, the khaki web link below will help.

Thanks for the link, that's interesting. Guessing it is likely the MK2 version then, presumably carried by a foot soldier
