Hi Alex,

I am making a belated contribution, but I don't think you will find very different views in the writings of other British soldiers.

Diaries and memories of French soldiers contain a lot of comments about their British, Serbian, Russian, Italian and Greek counterparts on the Salonika front. Of course, there are variations depending on the author, but generally all these comments develop the same national stereotypes then in force.
