There is a T K Spencer buried at Turlincthun died 24 8 18. RAF casualty cards shows Thomas Knight Spencer died on that date of natural causes and Halifax Guardian states died during operatoin 14th General Hospital Wimeraux.

He seems to have been injured in UK 27/1/18 which incapacitated him for a while until 25/3/18 after which he gained his aviator's certificate on 24/4/18.

After a spell at 89 sqdn and no3 Fighting School he went to France as a Camel pilot on 3/8/18 only to end up in hospital a short time afterwards where he died.

Service record here on Findmypast

"British Royal Air Force, Officers' Service Records 1912-1920 Image | findmypast.co.uk" https://search.findmypast.co.uk/record?id=GBM%2FAIR76%2F477%2F0%2F0490&parentid=GBM%2FAIR76%2F84963

He has another file at National Archives but not digitised, under ref.

And the card that goes with it

The operation appears to have taken place around the 14th August 1918. His father visited him hospital telegraphed reports about his good recovery until the 22nd when he described his son as being in a grave condition after the onset of peritonitis which presumably was the cause of death on the 24th.
