farley123 Posted 12 February , 2022 Share Posted 12 February , 2022 Hello, I'm new to the forum so this has probably been asked and answered before. I've been trying to do some research into the basic training of British infantry conscriptions but I can't find much that I'm looking for; if there is anyone who knows a fair bit about this and/or has sources on the topic please let me know! i'm specifically looking into the time frame such training would take place in and how soon after they would have been in combat. thank you very much for your time
Admin ss002d6252 Posted 12 February , 2022 Admin Share Posted 12 February , 2022 It all depends on what part of the war, and the specific situation at that time. At the start of the war, some men were out to France in a matter of days. Later in the war, 3-6 months of training was typical. Craig
