fremlin Posted 10 February , 2022 Share Posted 10 February , 2022 Help please - as to why a bounty of £20 was awarded on 13.11.1918 to a great uncle who was a L/Sgt. in the Grenadier Guards. Was it a "bonus" for continuing his military service or related top his service in the Great War? I attach a photo from his service record which should help. fremlin Posted 10 February , 2022 Author Share Posted 10 February , 2022 I think that's problem solved - once I have managed to unpick the various clauses and meaning thereof ! I'm very grateful to you and the Forum generally, where people are happy to share their knowledge.
