charlie962 Posted 1 February , 2022 Share Posted 1 February , 2022 (edited) That last line about British Aeroplane could be the BE2c of 7 Squdn that came down in flames that day. Pilot Ryckman EG and Observer Dennistoun JR. Needless to say, both died. Both Canadians. Both died as PoWs but Ryckman has 4/5/16 and Dennistoun 4/5/18 9/8/16. Not sure- there are 2 JR Dennistouns? edit--Its John Rodney not James Robert that we want and the date 4/5/18 stands for both pilot and observer. Even RAF records got confused at the time. The fate of these two is discussed part way through this old thread. Edited 1 February , 2022 by charlie962
