The postcard referenced here contains my man L/Cpl J.A.H.Downie #17322 KLR who is apparently No.231 in the The Big Race "Waiting for the pistol shot"

I've tried to alter the filters on the shot

Does the book contain a clearer photo to identify the chap ?
