BarbaraG Posted 25 November , 2021 Share Posted 25 November , 2021 (edited) George was one of three brothers who died during the war. In addition to his CWGC Headstone he is remembered on the family headstone…. https://secure.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/RollOfHonour/People/Details/28973 wondering whether War Diaries would be place to possibly find more information. david murdoch Posted 25 November , 2021 Share Posted 25 November , 2021 His Commonwealth War Graves entry has him being 7th Battalion but attached to 15th Battalion. The war diary for 28/6/1918 has a big write up as it looks to have been a busy day. They had just moved up to the front line a day or so before for an attack and gives a map position a as K15a 95. 55. On 28th they had 2 officers killed and 5 wounded but not named. 15 Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment | The National Archives WO-95-1557-2_1
