BreadGuy Posted 22 November , 2021 Share Posted 22 November , 2021 I am making a mini-documentary about a forum post I made a couple months ago, and I need help researching these people: Gunner George Sulker Bothwell of the 32nd Trench Mortar Battalion (CEF) Sargent John Robert Bothwell of the No.1 Field Ambulance (CEF) Major Boyce of the No.1 Field Ambulance (CEF) Captain Alexander MacLennan Gordon and if you can, Helena Elanor Robinson. Please tell me what you find! Thanks, BreadGuy.

I know nothing about Major Boyce other than he was responsible for planning George's funeral. I know that Captain Gordon sent a letter to Georges mother at the time of his death. This is all I know about Helena: https://www.bothwell.cx/ps01/ps01_120.html
Tawhiri Posted 23 November , 2021 Share Posted 23 November , 2021 Full Canadian WW1 service record for John Robert Bothwell: https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/first-world-war/personnel-records/Pages/item.aspx?IdNumber=53732 Similarly, for Alexander MacLennan Gordon: https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/first-world-war/personnel-records/Pages/item.aspx?IdNumber=422306 There are 183 individuals named Boyce with a Canadian WW1 service record, so unless you can find a middle name for him you might have go through them all to eliminate individuals: https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/first-world-war/personnel-records/Pages/list.aspx?SurnameSearch=boyce& Canadian census records are also available online through the same site, so you should also be able to trace Helena Eleanor Robinson through the 1901, 1911, and 1921 Canadian censuses: https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/census/Pages/census.aspx
