Iainwinney Posted 14 October , 2021 Share Posted 14 October , 2021 Would anyone have a copy of Machine Gun Corps First World War Flashes and Badges by Alan Jeffreys and Gary Gibbs, be able to tell me what the 84th Machine Gun Corps wore as identification? Unfortunately it hasn’t been possible to record the distinguishing cloth formation badges worn by every single unit in the British Army of WW1, Iain. However, cap and shoulder insignia can be identified with relative confidence, which is pretty good considering that it was the biggest army that Great Britain and its then imperial family has ever put into the field. Indeed, reading through the book it was quite a task to obtain the information from the various regiments.
