Robin Garrett Posted 4 October , 2021 Share Posted 4 October , 2021 Is this a Lancashire Fusiliers cap badge? However, the collar dogs don't look right. Or is it Royal Artillery?

Robin Garrett Posted 5 October , 2021 Author Share Posted 5 October , 2021 I do, it's Robert Eastwood. There's a MIC for an officer of that name, which is why I thought it might be Lancashire Fusiliers. However, the collar dogs don't look right. FROGSMILE Posted 5 October , 2021 Share Posted 5 October , 2021 (edited) Michelle is correct I think, the Lancashire Fusiliers badge is recognisable. Like quite a few regiments their officers had two variants to the collar badge, the original one identical to the cap badge and then a second version without the bulky title scroll and comprising just the grenade with its Egyptian Sphinx motif. NB. Regular battalions seem to have abandoned the unwieldy version completely, but it’s more often seen on the TF officers and some older veterans.
