BillyH Posted 3 October , 2021 Share Posted 3 October , 2021 Not sure where to post this, but if the moderators want to move it then that's fine. It is Great War related in a tenuous way. Basically I know what probate is, but how would it be referred to? "probate was handled by . . . " or "Probate was granted to . . . " or something else? BillyH. Ron Clifton Posted 3 October , 2021 Share Posted 3 October , 2021 "Probate was granted to..." is, I believe, the customary official description. Ron
depaor01 Posted 3 October , 2021 Share Posted 3 October , 2021 Interesting question. I dealt with my father's estate but don't know what term is used for what I was doing! Tinterweb says the steps are: Step 1: File a petition to begin probate. ... Step 2: Give notice. ... Step 3: Inventory assets. ... Step 4: Handle bills and debts. ... Step 5: Distribute remaining assets. ... Step 6: Close the estate. ...
Admin RussT Posted 3 October , 2021 Admin Share Posted 3 October , 2021 This is the official wording from the Probate Office of the Grant that was granted to me as the personal representative in order to administer the estate of my late Father.
