Hello everyone,

I am looking for pictures of Bremen Redoubt during ww1.
Probably there are not many pictures but can someone help me?
Plans of the Dug-out are also welcome.

When the dugout was discovered in 1983 there was a survey and research carried out by Aleks Deseyne of the Streeksmuseum in Zonnebeke. It is likely that the museum has all the information you need.

Arne, using some triangulation on known points on this IWM photo suggests it might be in the vicinity of the LHS of the red dotted line.  Zooming in a lot suggests a man-made blockhouse (if there ever was one) where the red dotted line meets the solid yellow line.  Bostin Fm is at the RHS vertex of the blue dotted and yellow line.  The red dotted line connects the bend in the road with Delva Fm.  Click to see the full picture.  The risk with any of this is you can see what you expect to see!

By the way, the reference on the bottom right to D 25 d 0 9 does not seem correct.  It does not correlate with any other feature or to what appears to be a correct reference on the bottom left to D 25 a 0 9.

You will definitely NOT see the British built dugout here as it was not yet built in August...

Many thanks for clarifying that.  Arne was after the Bremen Redoubt, which hopefully has been placed.  I suspected it was too good to be true that the nearby artefact was man-made, which you have confirmed.  Cheers.
