Hiya,

Iam currently plowing through the 5 books of the royal inniskilling fusiliers silver war badge.  I am looking to identify those soldiers that served as regulars, the new army volunteers and the later conscripts.  The first two categories I have divided up as those that joined before the outbreak of the war, and the volunteers as after the start.  Simple enough, as the dates of attestation are given, but this becomes complicated once conscription starts in 1916.  Obviously anyone from Ireland would still be a volunteer, but how can I decipher who was a conscript ?

Hopefully someones got mre brains than me.

Thanks

Paul
