helmet restoration

good morning everyone

I've just recently purchased this 1939 pattern helmet. I've seen people on this forum discussing restoration to helmets. it's the original liner and also the original chinstrap would it be worth repainting it or would this affect the price at all ? I got it quite cheap if i'm honest as these can go for 60 pounds to 140 pounds. any advice would be greatly appreciated

I suspect this topic to be locked as out of time frame. However you could try searching this and the WW2talk fora for other threads regarding helmet restoration. If you repeat the same question on WW2talk I'm sure they'll have similar experts willing to share their knowledge
