This chaps father is described as the late Henry Jones CWGC

Trying to track down if his Effects and Pension went to somebody else.

Thanks

Dave

It was a type 2 gratuity (paid gross) so the handwritten figure in red is the war gratuity.

It was paid out as a part of the £15 9s 7d.

His father appears to have died in January 1924. I suspect that the pension was paid to the father, and that he died before the CWGC collected all the details for the Tyne Cot Memorial. The list of names for the panel containing Harry's name is dated 1926.

Thanks all,

On 1911 census his dad Henry is a widow at 71 Croston St, Beswick, Manchester, his mother Dinah died in 1906

So really his details are "the son of the late Henry and late Dinah Jones"
