seaJane Posted 30 July , 2021 Share Posted 30 July , 2021 I had this inquiry from work: "I'm looking for an image of the badge worn by officers in the naval medical service in 1917 - I’ve found several different designs on the internet, but don’t know enough to identify the correct one. Would be v grateful for help." I can't actually recall officers having a badge (did they in the RND?). Under the circumstances, I think it's time I collected some images of the Great War naval medical badges, officers (if appropriate) and ratings. Can anyone help? RND surgeons were dressed in khaki like all other officers and there was no 'badge', although on occasion they did wear a Red Cross brassard on the upper left arm.
