Ollie77 Posted 30 July , 2021 Share Posted 30 July , 2021 Hello, I was wondering if someone could help with researching officers medals, I am aware that the remainder of officers service papers are kept in the archives but I was curious to know what would be the best way to try find the likes of a photograph. Thanks Ollie

MaxD Thats a good idea and ill have a look, but the only thing is that he was born in Ireland and lived there before joining the army and then lived in England so it's a bit all over the place. Matlock1418 Posted 31 July , 2021 Share Posted 31 July , 2021 I reckon it can rather depend on who he was / what the officer was in civilian life before and/or after the war. Professional bodies - legal, medical etc. Trade associations - chemical, electrical, rail etc. Social fraternity - Masonic etc. Religious / faith - plenty to chose from ?? :-) M
