seaJane Posted 27 July , 2021 Posted 27 July , 2021 I have just spotted that an acquaintance of mine wrote this: https://fantastic-writers-and-the-great-war.com/ It has wide-ranging coverage (I've just read the article on Lord Dunsany) and I like the style. sJ
Dust Jacket Collector Posted 27 July , 2021 Posted 27 July , 2021 Thanks for bringing this excellent site to our attention, sJ (it even links to my own site so it must be good!)

The most surprising people wrote science fiction - I was quite startled to come across Rudyard Kipling's airship stories. They're good reads, though.
johntaylor Posted 29 July , 2021 Posted 29 July , 2021 What a great site - many thanks for pointing it out. All the best, John
SusanN Posted 29 July , 2021 Posted 29 July , 2021 I’ve always loved science fiction and I am familiar with quite a few authors on your marvellous site, this genre hasn’t always had the commendation it deserves so thank you for all your efforts to raise awareness of these writers from the Great War.
MikB Posted 29 July , 2021 Posted 29 July , 2021 I liked William Hope Hodgson's 'Carnacki' stories. Although these are ghost and occult fiction, had he lived he might have gone on to SF.
