Disabled veterans tour 1976

The following brief article appeared in the Autumn 1976 edition of The Gallipolian (the journal of the Gallipoli Association).

---------

THE WAR VETERANS ASSOCIATION

Colonel N H Huttenbach DSO, OBE, MC (684) is the Chairman of the London &. S E. England Branch, recently formed to enable disabled veterans to revisit the Peninsula at little or no cost to themselves. A party of 28 went to Ga1lipoli earlier this year, comprising 20 veterans and 7 relatives, plus one nursing officer. The tour was most enjoyable. The organization is independent of the Gallipoli Association.

One of our members in the party was Harry Hughes (617) and he writes that there should be a broadcast by BBC 1 at some unknown time, dealing with the tour. Particulars should be sought in Radio Times.

----------------

Does anyone have any further details on this veterans tour?

Thanks in advance

Michael

NORMAN HUGH HUTTENBACH [RHA] seemingly checks out with an interest in disabled veterans - he has his own Officer's claim Pension Index Card at WFA/Fold3, as a Captain.

The IWM's LOTFWW has multiple 'Life Stories' based on various sources https://livesofthefirstworldwar.iwm.org.uk/searchlives/Huttenbach%2C Norman Hugh/filter

Sorry can't help more/with your main question though.
