12th Northumberland Fusiliers

I'm struggling to find the war diaries for the 12th Northumberland Fusiliers for early 1917 to try and find where 'my man' received his wounds in March 1917. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

You are most welcome   A pointer when looking in the Discovery search at the National Archives.  They don't use ordinal numbers (12th etc) and WW1 war diaries are all (almost all?) in the WO 95 series so a search on "12 Northumberland WO 95" will find the diaries.  Less is more!

Hi Allan,

With the National Archives this link should take you straight to their war diary search page - use as per the advice from MaxD, but no need to put in 'WO 95'

Thank you both - this goes a long way to explain my search problems when looking for war diaries.
