Question on Abbreviations

Hello!

I am trying to trace my great grand father as we have very little information on him.
I recently found out he was in a Sapper in the Royal Engineers.

I have managed to decipher his Regimental number via The Western Front, however I am left with two abbreviations. TWF have suggested I come to you with my query. The abbreviations are as below:

P.P.S 154146
P.A. (?8?) 4.5.26

I have attached the card in question. I have also attached the records I found on Fold 3 FYI.
If anyone could help decipher the above abbreviations I would be very grateful.
It may be able to shed more light on him.

Thank you,

Rowena

P.A. is likely an abbreviation for the civil service speak of 'Put Away'. i.e. filed.

PPS is reference to a pension file.

Z/RE and 5/MH are pension claim reference numbers.
