MaureenE Posted 7 July , 2021 Share Posted 7 July , 2021 (edited) There may be brief reference to what you have last mentioned in "Survival Of Fittest: From Khalsa Identity To Military Establishment Of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh" by Khola Cheema, page 191, Pakistan Vision Vol. 19 No. 1 (possibly 2018) http://pu.edu.pk/images/journal/studies/PDF-FILES/Article_12_2018_07_12.pdf Perhaps you could try contacting the author, perhaps via social media. I think the information you are seeking would be found in sources in Pakistan. In addition, the period of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh is outside the period covered by this Forum, which is the Great War being the First World War 1914-1918. MaureenE Posted 7 July , 2021 Share Posted 7 July , 2021 "The 30th Punjabis at Tandamuti Hill and Nakadi Ridge East Africa, February – October 1917" by Harry Fecitt, March 2015 html version, pdf gweaa.com. There is a mention of the 1st Kashmir Imperial Service Mountain Battery. Perhaps the Batteries may be mentioned in the Despatches which are linked from the FIBIS Fibiwiki page East Africa (First World War) https://wiki.fibis.org/w/East_Africa_(First_World_War). There are many online books linked from the page, but I'm not sure if any others would be relevant. There has been a book published which perhaps may have something of relevance, although I have not read it myself. For the Honour of My House: The Contribution of the Indian Princely States to the First World War by Tony McClenaghan, published 2019. A description of the book https://books.google.com.au/books/about/For_the_Honour_of_My_House.html Maureen
