Trying to work out what this unit was and where it came from.

Apparently 10th Garrison Guard Bn was "formed in France" before being attached to 40 Div renumbered 15 KOYLI

Anyone any insights about where these men would have come from?

My specific interest is Pte Fred Kenworthy 238085 whose service records have not survived.

Ah! Thank you EdwardI. I think you've pointed me at the missing link which was the disbandment of the 10th (Service) Bn in early 1918. Presumably part of that became the 10th (Garrison Guard) Bn, later 15 Bn.

Thanks very much.
