Solbron Euphonium

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 1916 dated Solbron Euphonium with the serial number 96826 which was used by 'The Queen's Own Yorkshire Dragoons' and I was wondering if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction for finding out any more information about which regimental band this Euphonium may ended up?

I was also hoping to find out some more general information about the role of regimental bands in France during The First World War and I was wondering if any memoirs or books existed which would help me learn a little more about how a regimental band in an infantry battalion operated on a daily basis.

Thank you so much for all your help.

Best Wishes,

Micah Dominic Parsons
