MIC Deciphering (6th Dragoon Guards)

Anyone care to comment on the "Actions taken" portion of this MIC? It looks like the soldier was discharged on 30 December 1915. I can't make out the word before "issue of C+Rs." I'm assuming that C+Rs means clasp and rosettes but does it appear that he did or did not get them issued. Also, I'd appreciate any information on what the CC stands for in the roll notations. Thanks.

Regards,

~Dan

Dan,

I think it says 'No issue of C & Rs'. The 14 Star Roll might clarify this.

CC = Cavalry Corps?

Gavin,

Thanks for the response. That's pretty much what I was thinking as well. That first letter just didn't look like an "N". Oh well, I suppose I will have to have someone get a look at that 1914 Star roll for me then. He obviously landed with the unit early enough to have been at Mons and Le Cateau. I wonder what would have prevented him from being close enough to the front lines to qualify for the bar.

Cheers,

~Dan
