William Edward Williams (1866-1945) won 5 caps for Wales 1887-1890. He captained Cardiff in 1890-1. He seems to have adopted 'Osborne' as a third forename. In many match reports he is referred to as "W E O Williams". He can be seen in five Cardiff RFC team photographs (1886-7 to 1890-1) on the Cardiff Rugby Museum website https://cardiffrugbymuseum.org/ Did he go on active service with the Welsh Horse? corisande Posted 5 June , 2021 Share Posted 5 June , 2021 The Pension Card on Fold3 shows them to be two different men. The Welsh Horse man was born 1882, the Welsh Rugby player was born 1866
