Keith_history_buff Posted 28 May , 2021 Share Posted 28 May , 2021 In the past I have come across many, many references to GARBA data. (I struggled to find what the anachronism stands for - General Annual Report on the British Army.) A recent thread had a comment from a seasoned forum participant, which, as I read it, would seem to suggest the pages of the publication are available online for further consultation. What became a revelation was that the monthly returns for a number of years can be consulted at Kew. (A second tip of the hat to the same seasoned forum participant.) To this end, I ordered the file for 1911, and was able to take a few images, which I have reproduced below. I am very grateful for having been made aware of the existence of these monthly returns. Editions from 1902 to 1938 of The General Annual Report on the British Army are available on the library subscription website U.K. Parliamentary Papers. Your library must have subscribed for the 20th Century module. Some UK resident GWF members perhaps may have access to "U.K. Parliamentary Papers" through their county library card (England) , or perhaps cards for the National Libraries of Wales, and Scotland. Also academic libraries etc. Other countries check out what is available to you e.g. State Library of NSW has access for residents.

Hello Maureen, Thank you very much for advising how it can be accessed online. This is greatly appreciated. Off to bed for me. Many thanks Keith
