Need help identifying cause of death on this certificate.

Got the death certificate for a soldier I've been researching, he died in 1956.  Cause of death reads "post enchephalitic paralysis agitans for 20 years, renal arterio sclerosis for 10 years and acute nephiritis for two weeks".  Any medical experts out there that can basically tell me what he was suffering from.  I tied Google, but there wasn't really anything relevant.  Poor guy must have suffered for a long time!

Thank you,

Duncan.

The first one may be a form of Parkinson's disease, I believe.

Encephalitic Paralysis is Parkinson's Disease. Post Encephalitic is where the original illness is epidemic. Renal Arteriosclerosis in simple terms is scarring of the kidney usually caused by reno-vascular disease[s] or even Chronic Hypertension [High Blood Pressure]. Acute Nephritis is when the kidneys become inflamed. May lead to kidney failure if untreated, also known as Bright's Disease.

Hope this might help

Regards

Peter
