Remembered Today:

Heavy Artillery at the Battle of Messines

Does anyone know where to find a copy of the heavy artillery creeping barrage at Messines?

There is one at McMaster Uni which chops of part of north and most of the south, the area I am interested in.

The Second Army diary at AWM does not seem to include it and finding units in the British archives is a challenge because it brings up every unit in the Second Army.

Thx

Hm, isn't heavy artillery supposed to be firing at fixed targets in the enemy's rear while the field artillery is firing a creeping barrage?

Yep, looks like a standing barrage to the back of Messines as well as a creeping one. Thanks heaps, fills a gap nicely.
