heatherannej Posted 24 April , 2021 Share Posted 24 April , 2021 Hi there This is a long shot but if I don't ask, I will not know: does anyone have any photographs relating the merger of the four organisations (The National Association of Discharged Sailors and Soldiers; The British National Federation of Discharged and Demobilized Sailors and Soldiers; The Comrades of The Great War; The Officers' Association) that merged to become the British Legion on 14 May 1921. Delegates met on that date at the Queen's Hall, Langham Place. Apparently, on 15 May, 4 representatives pledged the unification by laying wreaths at the Cenotaph. Asking on behalf of another. If someone comes up trumps, I can explain the quest further. Many thanks in anticipation. Heather Researching The Poppy Lady from France, Madame Guérin.
