jay dubaya Posted 20 April , 2021 Share Posted 20 April , 2021 From Westlake's 'Battalions on the Somme' Attack on High Wood (15/7) - in action around Windmill, Bazentin-le-Petit. Casualties - 117. To south end of Mametz Wood (16/7). Moved forward to support at Bazentin-le-Grand Wood (18/7) - returning to Mametz Wood same day. Moved forward to trenches north of Bazentin-le-Petit (20/7) - attacked along Bazentin-High Wood Road. Relieved and to Dernancourt (21/7). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
