The Liverpool Scottish Museum Website www.liverpoolscorrish.org.uk is showing a comprehensive item on the trip to Ypres and Erquinghem 4th/5th/6th June 2005.

Visit to Erquinghem Lys (near Armentieres) 2nd Bn base in 1917

Dedication of memorial to the 2nd Bn of the LS

Visit to the site of the Dicky's Dash Trench Raid near Bois Grenier

Menin Gate Last Post Ceremony

Visit to the LS Stone at Bellewaarde (4kms East of Ypres).

Please use the visit2005@hotmail.co.uk site or phone Major Gordon McConnell.

Dee,

This sounds like a good visit. The Liverpool Scottish website has more details. I know that it is not just for the Liverpool Scottish to go on but for anyone that is interested.

There are quite a few events planned so it should be a full visit especially on the Sunday.

I hope more people will make the trip if not on the coach from Liverpool but by their own travel arrangements.

Hope to see you there if you are going. :)
