mebu Posted 7 April , 2021 Share Posted 7 April , 2021 Just looking at MO diary for 13th Div in August 1916 ( re-taking Kut) - daily temperature records of around 120 degrees F, up to 126 degrees F (52.2 C). Must have been unbearable. High sickness figures, also Cholera. A bit more respect for granddad (6/South Lancs) now ( he was evacuated 13 Jan '17 after GSW at Kut, loss of arm) Peter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
