Hello everyone,

I have figured out most of the attached document relating to Henry Nichols but I was wondering what the information in the red box meant and if there was any more which I could do to full understand this document.

Best Wishes,

The details in the red box are administrative details in respect of the war gratuity - the figure in red.

The £3 was a net payment, which would have been £5 gross. It tells us he had 12 months or less wartime military service when he died.
