I would be grateful if any pal could furnish me with details of what this unit was involved in on this date.

On 23 October 4th Seaforths were in Douchy on relief.  In the afternoon they moved up to the outskirts of Denain, and were billeted in a mill on the Canal de I'Escaut.  Denain was shelled on 24th.  This was taken from Haldane's history and is not that clear.

I have a pdf of the War Diary and can send this to you.  It is very faint and difficult to read.  PM?
