Bennett Posted 12 March , 2021 Share Posted 12 March , 2021 Need some help understanding the Air/76 document I have hopefully attached. . I believe I understand that after Morrison passed the Denham S.M.A course he was sent to Duxford. The document lists the 129th Squadron which was then stationed at Duxford ? My questions? It also lists a RAF referral to No. 2 School of Aerial Fighting. Was this for a DH-9 day bomber training? What does the "L.D." designation mean after "DH-9 ? The letters "Ely" appear. Does this refer to the city of Ely or another training station? I would greatly appreciate other interpetations you can offer concerning his brief RAF career path Thank You AIR-76-359-64.pdf

While you are waiting for an expert, could LD be Light/ Day (as opposed to Medium,Heavy/ Night) as a pilot qualification. Or am I in the next war ? DH9 would fit.
