Ludlow Advertiser

Hi,

I am researching names on my local memorial and looking into sources, several are quoted from the Ludlow Advertiser.

I am a member of British Newspapers Archives, but they do not cover 1914 - 1918 Ludlow Advertiser archives.

Has anyone any suggestions how I can access the Ludlow Advertiser archives for this time period.

Thank you

The newspaper is available at Ludlow Library 01584 813600. It will probably also be available at the British Library at either St Pancras or Boston Spa.

Try the County Archives in Shrewsbury - they may have it on microfilm.

Hard copy is available at BL-

Alas, it looks like the war years have not been filmed by BL- thus, that limits the places where it might be held.  Shropshire Archives and  Shropshire's main library (Shrewsbury?) are likely to hold- so its a choice of  pen and pencil/digital camera to either Shrewsbury or Ludlow-
