Hi @GROBBY the PDF for the Brussels card is actually just the picture on the front again, can you post the back when you have time?

I can do another family next! It's really nice to get a little wider glimpse of their lives.

Lieber Schatz! Meine Parole

heisst noch immer warten. Das schöne

Weihnachtsfest ist nun vorüber, ich

hatte nichts davon. Seite heute Nacht

furchtbarer Sturm + Regen. Die Kanonen

donnern unentwegt.

Hoffentlich

bist Du + die l. Eltern gesund. Anna + Liesl

bleiben wohl länger bei Euch? Euch allen,

tausen innige Grüsse. Fritz

Dear darling! My motto is "ever waiting." The Christmas celebrations are now over, they were nothing to me. Since tonight there has been a terrible storm and rain. The cannons thunder constantly. Unfortunately I won't hear anything from you until I return to Liege. Hopefully you and the dear parents are healthy. Anna and Liesl are going to stay longer with you, aren't they? A thousand warmest greetings to you all. Fritz

Lieber Konrad!

Deine lieben Brief soeben

erhalten besten Dank. Schicke dir

hier mein Bild was ich schon vor

14 Tage tun wollte, wenn ich deine

Adresse richtig gewusst.

. . . . . Specht?

Dear Konrad! Received your last letter, thank you very much. Hereby sending you my picture, which I wanted to do 14 days ago, if only I had known your correct address. Otto is now in Germany, but I don't know where. I was happy to hear that you are still doing well. That is also the case with me. Greetings and goodbye, . . . . . Specht

(As usual I can't read the personal name...sorry about that. There are 32 pages of Spechts in the Verlustlisten, so I thought it seemed plausible as his surname.)

Maybe Otto was wounded and got sent to a hospital in Germany to recover?

Dear Wife,

I received your dear letter yesterday with much thanks and was very happy to get it. As I read in your letter, you are already in the midst of the harvest, here too, but the weather has been very nice (?) for the past few days. Nothing else new. I am still doing well so far, and I hope that you and everyone else is too. So many greetings to you and to a healthy and quick reunion, from your dear Alfred. Greetings to your parents and siblings.

@GROBBY The other card to Marichen Timmermann will take a while, it's one of those where I have to keep coming back to it. Could you post some other cards in the meantime? Thank you :)

@GROBBY Sorry for the late reply, got knocked out by my first vaccine and then the heat. Then discovered that I did those two already, see the post below!
