Hfrey Posted 22 February , 2021 Share Posted 22 February , 2021 Trying to figure out what time period this is from cause all of the others that look like this have completely different markings so I’m not sure if it is even from Germany or not. If someone could help me out it would be great! Thank you!
4thGordons Posted 23 February , 2021 Share Posted 23 February , 2021 Manufactured 1907? (07) I would have thought. It certainly looks like a German M 1898 neuer Art (with two piece grip) Real experts will be along shortly! Chris

Gabelou Posted 24 February , 2021 Share Posted 24 February , 2021 To print the last numer 37 the armorer make a mistake in printing a reversed 3. He cancel it by a diagonal 0. A rather scarce vay

Gabelou Posted 27 February , 2021 Share Posted 27 February , 2021 Good question from U Kalicha.. I have no acces for the moment to my documentation but it seems that Landsturm was organised in bataillons. If i well remember, the L for Landsturm is an italic L. AndyBsk Posted 15 April , 2021 Share Posted 15 April , 2021 (edited) 104 Landwehr Regiment , there was only 2 battalions avialable, mobilised 2.8.1914 so teoretically a 8 company could exist. Even not correctly used L, Landsturm regiment 104 is not listed in units. Saxon unit certainly, mobilisation sharpening on blade.
